    cramped bathroom
    distance from temples
    small lounge area

A comfortable stay highlighted by delicious breakfast pastries and a cozy atmosphere. The common lounge was ideal for relaxing, while the owner was welcoming and available for any questions. Individual bathrooms were a plus, but the overall bathroom felt a bit cramped. It's about a 15-minute walk from the temples, so consider that if planning your day.

    lack of nearby dining

Staying here with my family, including my teenage daughter, was amazing. The private onsens are truly a delight, and the cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. Those warm pastries for breakfast were a big hit!

For dads, it would be great to have more dining options close by.

The location is fantastic with easy access to nearby trails along the river, and I loved how close I was to the historical garden. The private onsen facilities were truly a highlight of my stay, providing a serene escape after a busy day of exploring. The complimentary breakfast featured a lovely selection of pastries and coffee, setting me up perfectly for my adventures.

The stairs leading to my room posed a challenge due to their steepness.

Amazing private baths and delicious breakfast

Staying here was an incredible experience! The private onsen baths were the highlight, providing a tranquil escape after a day of exploring. Breakfast was equally delightful, featuring freshly baked pastries and a range of beverages that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. It would be great if the bathrooms had a bit more modern flair, but overall, this place truly feels like a home away from home.

The hospitality at Akarinoyado Villa Revage was exceptional, particularly thanks to Kono-san, who provided invaluable insights about local sights and transportation options. The six-course dinner was a culinary highlight, rivaling any top-tier restaurant, and the private onsen offerings provided a great way to unwind after a busy day. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to bus routes for exploring nearby attractions.

The room felt a bit outdated.
